Pick Run in parallel on a waiting message and it goes to a new tab of its own, while this chat carries on.

New: Tabs Claude opened say when something's wrong. A tab that is stuck on a permission prompt, slow, or stopped shows it on the strip under the tab bar, and its opener is told. A one-line Bash command can be allowed or denied right there.

New: Work carries on after an interruption. A chat cut off mid-answer by a crash or by Claude's usage limit picks up again by itself — after a limit, once it resets; after a quit, only when you say so. Tabs Claude opened survive a restart too. Settings ▸ Claude ▸ Carry on after an interruption; Esc cancels a pending one.

New: A long chat gone cold is compacted before your next message. A chat over 200k tokens that has sat for an hour is summarised first, so your message and the ones after it cost less. Esc in the first few seconds sends it as it is. Settings ▸ Chat ▸ Compact a long chat first.

New: Claude knows its limits. Claude can see its context and the 5-hour and 7-day limits, and who else is working on them; it's warned as a limit gets close. When one is close it may step down to a cheaper model or lower effort — never up — and Multee says so in the chat and puts it back after the reset (Settings ▸ Claude ▸ Let Claude lower its own model for limits). Click the 5h / 7d meter to see how fast each tab is using them, agents included.

New: Off switches for tabs Claude opens. Settings ▸ Claude ▸ Let Claude open tabs, or per project.

Improved: On plans where Claude Code opens its own usage-limit menu, a terminal tab stopped at the limit is still continued after the reset: Multee closes that menu first.

Improved: A tab Claude opened keeps the permission mode you set for it across a restart, and rests again once it can.

Fixed: The file-preview hover card no longer goes blank while it fades, and turning previews off frees their memory.

Fixed: A
--settings
file Multee can't read is now reported instead of silently ignored.

Fixed: Copying a single path link from the chat no longer puts a Multee-only link on the clipboard.

Fixed: Auto mode with Decide for me no longer nudges Claude to ask you at the end of a turn.

Multee 0.1.36

New: A queue you can manage. Messages you send while Claude is busy line up in a panel above the message box. Drag to reorder, double-click to edit, ✕ to remove, and Hold to let the current turn finish while Claude waits. Push one ahead with Send next, Send now (Claude takes it into the running turn), Stop Claude and send this, or Run in parallel in a new tab. The queue is kept when you quit and comes back on hold. Claude can suggest titles, overlaps to merge, a better order and what's probably done already — Settings ▸ Chat ▸ Queue.

New: Claude tabs can ask each other. A Claude tab can see the other Claude tabs in its project and ask one a question; the tab answers from its own conversation without being interrupted, and shows one grey line saying who asked what. It can also ask the conversation that wrote a file or a commit, even after its tab was closed. Esc in the asking tab withdraws the question. Other projects stay out of reach unless you turn on Settings ▸ Claude ▸ Let Claude tabs ask across projects.

New: Claude can hand work to a new tab. A Claude tab can open another tab in the background with a brief, and the new tab's report comes back to it when it's done. Opened tabs sit next to their opener in the tab bar — fold them away with the chevron — and a strip under the bar links them. Each works in its own copy of the project by default, and a tab with commits to bring back shows a review card: Merge into your branch, Remove Worktree and Close Tab, or Discard (asked twice). The opener can redirect or stop the tabs it opened. At most four work at once, and an idle one rests. An opened tab never skips permission prompts unless you turn on Settings ▸ Claude ▸ Let tabs Claude opens skip permission prompts.

New: A warning before two tabs change one file. When a Claude tab is about to change a file that another tab changed and hasn't committed — or run a command that would undo it, like
git stash
— it is paused once and told which tab has it, so it can ask that tab first.

New: Pause idle chats (Settings ▸ Window ▸ Power, off by default): a chat you haven't used for an hour stops its Claude process to free memory, and picks up where it left off when you come back.

Fixed: A
--settings
file in your default arguments now takes effect in terminal tabs too — Multee's own settings used to replace it.

Multee 0.1.35

New: Terminal tabs carry on after a usage limit. A Claude terminal tab stopped at the 5-hour or weekly limit waits for the reset and is then told to continue — one banner per limit, and the tab's tooltip says when. It only types into an empty prompt: a draft you left there, or a menu that's open, keeps the tab as it is. Where Claude Code continues the tab by itself, Multee stands back. Settings ▸ Claude ▸ Usage limits turns it off.

New: Background tasks open in tabs. In a chat's Background tasks panel, a task's name opens it beside the chat: an agent's whole conversation, followed while it works, or a shell's full output (⌘F finds in it). Send an agent a note from its tab or its row — it goes through the chat, which hands it on.

New: File previews in the chat. When Claude reads, makes or names an image, PDF, video, sound or document, its row shows small thumbnails. Rest the mouse on one for a larger look; click to open it in Quick Look or its app; right-click for Show in Finder and Copy Path. Settings ▸ Chat ▸ File previews.

New: Paths are links. A file or folder path in the chat — in Claude's replies, tool rows, your messages and command output — opens on a click: a file in a tab (at its line, for
app.ts:42
), a folder in the Files tree. Right-click for Show in Finder and Copy Path. In terminal tabs, hold ⌘ over a path to underline it and ⌘-click to open it.

New: Questions you can answer cold. When Claude asks you something in the To-dos list, the card shows what it found, each option with what it means, and which one it recommends — click one or press its number. Auto mode's gear has When there's a choice to make: Ask me / Decide for me: with Decide for me, Claude makes the call, notes what it chose and why, and only things it can't decide (a login, money, something that can't be undone) reach you.

Multee 0.1.34

Fixed: Reopening a chat no longer shows tool calls that Claude ran side by side as "Interrupted" — they keep their output.

Fixed: The chat's status line gets back what it hid: narrow the window and the least important items step aside, widen it and they all return (before, a hidden item stayed gone).

Fixed: Markdown previews and the What's new notes wrap to their pane instead of running wider and scrolling sideways.

Multee 0.1.33

Fixed: Hovering the dots on Claude's last answer opens its steps card again — in a short chat it often did nothing once Claude finished. The last lines of that answer take clicks again too.

Fixed: The steps card stays open while your mouse is on it, so you can move onto it and read it. It closes a moment after you leave both the dots and the card.

Fixed: The pointer is an arrow over the dots, not the text cursor.

Multee 0.1.32

New: Your message stays in view. While you read a long reply, the message you sent stays pinned at the top of the chat; click it to jump back to it. The next message pushes it off.

New: Waiting on Claude is nicer to watch. While Claude works: a soft light around the message it's answering, coloured by what it's doing; its ✻ turning beside a playful verb (or your own, from Claude Code's
spinnerVerbs
setting); a heartbeat of how fast it's writing; a dot for every step it takes — hover them for a card with each step, its time and Claude's notes in between, and they stay on the answer until your next message; and a tip each minute. Each one has a switch in Settings ▸ Chat ▸ While you wait.

New: Text size for chats. Settings ▸ Chat ▸ Text size makes the chat bigger or smaller without changing the sidebar, editor or terminal.

New: Column width. The chat's column is wider (up to 1,200 pt, was 920), and Settings ▸ Chat ▸ Column width can make it fill the window.

New: Settings ▸ Chat ▸ Finished tasks hides the line a background command or agent leaves when it finishes.

Improved: The Short summary has rounded corners, and its icon turns into a collapse arrow while the summary is open.

Improved: The terminal fits more columns (its cells now match the font's real width) and uses the overlay scroller.

Improved: On macOS 26, standard controls have macOS 26's look.

Fixed: Slow commands no longer leave a grey "finished" line in the chat or show up as background tasks.

Fixed: The effort slider and auto mode (⇧⇥) are back on 1M-context models, such as Opus 5.5 [1m].

Fixed: The dots beside Claude's replies no longer land on the text after you resize the window.

Fixed: The What's new card and the Markdown preview no longer come out wider than the window and scroll sideways.

Multee 0.1.31

New: While you were away. Come back to a chat after a few minutes and Claude recaps it in a sentence or two — where it is and what's next — above the message box, without adding to the conversation. Ask follows up in the side chat; Catch up gets the long version there. (Settings ▸ Chat turns it off.)

New: Short. The icon on an answer's bottom-right corner opens a few-line summary of it in a pane under the answer.

New: An effort slider in the chat's status line. Drag it or click a stop; the level shows above the knob as you drag. With no level picked, the knob sits on the one Claude is really using.

New: Ultracode switch ("uc") in the status line, and ultrathink / ultracode light up in the message box as you type them, with a card saying what each does.

New:
@agent-
mentions. type
@
to pick one of your agents, coloured in the box and explained on hover.

New: Settings ▸ Chat can hide Claude's thinking, its notes between steps, or its tool calls.

Improved: Settings is a card over the window. in five sections — Claude, Chat, Editor & Files, Notifications, Window.

Improved: Keyboard shortcuts is a searchable card. grouped by where each works, with the ones for where you are first.

Improved: A tidier status line. the model shows as "O 5.5" (full name on hover), a shorter context bar, and the 5-hour and weekly limits as bars that turn from blue to red as they fill, each with a countdown to its reset that ticks on its own. The session's cost is gone, and so is fast mode (it needs usage credits, and never switched on from a chat).

Improved: Settings and keep-awake moved to the bottom-right of the status bar.

Fixed: Multee stays light when it runs for weeks. A long chat keeps only your last 40 messages in memory (older ones reload as you scroll up), switching projects no longer leaves a copy of the To-dos panel behind (one install reached 720 MB), and tabs, the sessions list and centered cards no longer leak a little on every change.

Multee 0.1.30

New: Side chat (⌘/ in a chat tab). Ask a quick question beside the conversation without adding it to the chat. A panel opens above the message box, which sends there until you press Esc or ⌘/ again (each keeps its own draft). It sees the chat's conversation by default — turn Include chat off for a fresh one — and answers fast, since it reuses the chat's warm cache. It clears itself 30 minutes after the last message, or after a day, or never — your pick. Use answer puts its reply in the chat's box, Open as tab turns it into a chat of its own. Terminal tabs keep Quick Ask.

New: Task ids in the to-do list. Each task shows its id (t5) before its title, so you can tell Claude "work on t5".

New: A clearer task drawer. Where the task sits, its id and title; chips to change its status, let auto mode do it or not, and add a goal, images, a task it waits on or sub-tasks; a parent's sub-tasks listed with their status; the latest activity line; and the buttons pinned at the bottom. Notes show formatted (Markdown) in a box — press Edit to change them. ⌘⏎ marks the task done and ⌘O talks it through while you're in To-dos.

Improved: Smoother chat. Your message rises into place when you send it, Claude's reply glides up as it streams instead of jumping a line at a time, and a short conversation sits at the bottom by the message box.

Improved: The side chat panel and the to-do drawer slide open and closed. (Off with Reduce Motion.).

Multee 0.1.29

Improved: Multee is now invite-only. Updates come from a private GitHub repo, so Multee checks for them with your GitHub login — the one the GitHub CLI (
gh auth login
) keeps, or
HOMEBREW_GITHUB_API_TOKEN
if you set it — and Install now passes it to Homebrew. If it can't get in, Check for Updates now says why instead of a generic connection error.

Multee 0.1.28

New: Auto mode checks its own work. When auto mode finishes a task, a second Claude reviews it in a fresh conversation — what changed, whether the goal holds, the build and tests — before it counts as done. Problems go back to be fixed (twice at most, then it asks you), and every verdict is in the task's log. On by default; turn it off in auto mode's settings.

New: Images on to-dos. Paste (⌘V in the notes), drop, or pick pictures for a task — a screenshot of the bug, a mockup. They show as thumbnails in the task's details (click to preview). Claude sees them when it picks the task up, and can attach its own.

New: Stop one task. Stop auto mode on a single task (right-click it, or ■ Stop in its details) while the rest keep going. The task goes back to Up next, left for you.

New: Keep the screen on, or the lid closed. The ☕ menu has two new options: Keep the Screen On Too, and Stay Awake With the Lid Closed — so Claude keeps working with your MacBook shut. The lid option asks for your admin password once; Multee turns sleep back on when you're done, if it quits, and below 20% battery.

Improved: Auto mode's settings open as a card in the middle of the window instead of a long menu.

Improved: The Auto tab minimizes instead of closing. and keeps working out of sight — Show chat in To-dos brings it back. It's read-only now (talk about a task from its own conversation), with the context and usage still shown.

Improved: What's new is a fixed-size, scrollable card you can close with Esc, ⌘W or a click outside, instead of a dialog that could grow taller than the screen.

Improved: A task's goal sits in its own box above the notes, and Edit Goal is a proper multi-line field that scrolls.

Improved: The Markdown preview renders the HTML READMEs often use: centered images, image tables with captions, bold and small text.

Fixed: Auto mode no longer grabs a to-do you've just added before you've typed its title (it could start on "New to-do" and then leave the real task sitting in Up next).

Fixed: Stopping a task while Claude was just claiming it could put it straight back in Working now.

Fixed: After closing What's new, typing went nowhere until you clicked.

Fixed: The text cursor showed through cards over the chat; buttons on them now show the pointing hand.

Fixed: A Markdown line starting with
|
could freeze the preview.

Multee 0.1.27

New: To-dos, shared with Claude. A new To-dos panel in the sidebar (the checklist icon, or ⌘⇧T) holds a task list for each project that you and Claude both see and edit live. Claude adds, organises and updates tasks itself; you answer its questions right in the list, with one-click replies when it offers choices. Tasks are grouped as Needs you, Working now, Up next and Done; click one for its details, notes and activity.

New: Auto mode. Press Start auto in the To-dos panel and Claude works through Up next on its own, one task at a time or several in parallel (gear menu, up to 8 at once). It asks you through the list when it needs something, waits out Claude's usage limits and carries on after the reset, and can work in a separate git worktree with a commit per task.

New: Task goals. A task can have a goal — what must be true when it's done. In auto mode, Claude keeps working until the goal holds, using Claude Code's
/goal
.

New: Improve your message. The wand in the chat's message box (or ⌥⌘I) has Claude rewrite what you typed — clearer, typos fixed, "that file" turned into the actual file name from the conversation. ⌘Z brings your original back.

New: Keep the Mac awake. The ☕ in the status bar keeps your Mac from sleeping: indefinitely, for a set time, while Claude is working, or while auto mode works through a project's to-dos (then it lets the Mac sleep).

Improved: New projects open in the Chat view instead of the terminal. Change the default in Settings, or right-click a project in SESSIONS to choose for that project.

Improved: Esc gives your message back. Stop Claude before it has answered and your message returns to the box, out of the conversation — just like the terminal.

Improved: Chats show up in Claude's own
/resume
. in the terminal and in Multee's terminal tabs.

Improved: The context breakdown opens instantly when you click ctx, and updates in place — it used to wait several seconds on long conversations.

Fixed: Clicking anywhere in the message box now puts the cursor there (it used to take several clicks after selecting text in a reply).

Fixed:
/checkpoint
and other commands you've made into skills now run your skill instead of a built-in with the same name.

Fixed: ⇧⇥ with Caps Lock on switches the permission mode instead of pasting Claude's suggested message into the box.

Fixed:
/rewind
lists your skills even when Claude hadn't answered them yet.

Multee 0.1.26

Fixed: Multee could crash with a chat open that has a picture you sent. at launch or while scrolling — whenever that message was only partly on screen with its picture out of view.

Fixed: The context breakdown opens properly again. Clicking ctx in a chat's status line showed a thin, empty sliver; it now shows the full breakdown — what's using the context window, in a neatly aligned column, with a 1M-token window written as "1M".

Multee 0.1.25

New: Suggested next message. Like Claude Code in the terminal, after a reply the empty message box can show Claude's guess at what you'll type next, greyed out. Press Tab to put it in the box, then edit or send. Claude only suggests when the next step is obvious, so many replies won't have one.

New: Preview images. Click a picture — one you're about to send or one already in the chat — to open it in Quick Look. The pointer turns into a magnifier over it.

Improved: Pasted images show as thumbnails above the message box instead of
[Image #1]
labels in your text. Hover one for a × to remove it, or press backspace at the start of the box to remove the last one. You can now send an image with no text.

Improved: The background tasks list tidies itself. Once it holds more than 10 tasks, the finished ones are cleared automatically; running tasks always stay.

Multee 0.1.24

New: Talk to Claude. Press fn⌃ (or click the new mic beside the send button) and speak — your words appear in the message box as you talk, using Claude Code's own speech-to-text. Press it again to stop, then edit and send with ⏎ (or just press ⏎ while talking: it sends once your last words are in). Typing or esc also stops listening, and one ⌘Z takes the spoken text back out. The first time, macOS asks for microphone access.

New: Skills suggested mid-message. Typing
/
after a space now offers your skills (like
/short
), not only at the start of the box — handy for "explain this /short".

Improved: A tidier chat footer. The resume button, folder name and branch are gone —
/resume
does the first, and Multee's bottom bar already shows the other two.

Multee 0.1.23

New: Jump to any message you sent. A thin line for each of your messages runs up the chat's bottom-left edge, the one you're reading lit up. Hover them for a list of what you asked and click one — the chat glides there and the message blinks. ⌘J opens the same list from the keyboard: ↑↓ to choose, ⏎ to go, esc to close.

New: Fold Claude's replies away. Hover one of your messages and click the ▾ to hide everything Claude did in reply behind a one-line "Show Claude's reply". ⌥-click folds every reply at once, so a long chat reads as the list of what you asked.

New: Messages you send while Claude is busy now wait their turn. each one goes out after the previous answer and gets its own reply, instead of all of them being merged into one. ↑ picks a waiting message and ⏎ takes it back into the box to edit.

New: Context usage is a small bar in the chat's footer, going from blue through yellow to red as it fills; hover for the exact percentage.

New: Compacting shows how long it usually takes ("usually about 40s"), learned from your earlier compactions — Claude doesn't report real progress, so there's no fake progress bar.

New: Links in Claude's replies are clickable and open in your browser.

Fixed: Claude's Artifact tool works in chat tabs. Claude switches it off by default in the mode chat tabs run in, so a conversation that made artifacts in a terminal tab hit "No such tool available: Artifact" once you continued it here.

Fixed: /rewind offers your older messages again after Multee restarts, and includes skills you ran (like
/short
) — not only the latest message.

Fixed: A reopened chat no longer shows its conversation twice after Claude restarts.

Fixed: Trusting a new folder takes one key. the "Trust folder & start" button has focus, so space accepts, and then you're straight in the message box.

Multee 0.1.22

New: Claude, rendered natively — a new kind of tab (⌘⇧M). The same Claude Code you already run, without a terminal in the middle: your messages and its replies as real text you can select, tool calls that fold away when you're done with them, streaming markdown, and background tasks in a panel. Permission requests, questions and plan approvals arrive as cards you answer from the keyboard — ↑↓ to choose, ⏎ to confirm, number keys to jump, esc to decline. Nothing pops up a dialog box.

Slash commands that work here:
/rewind
(go back to before one of your messages — restoring the files Claude changed, the conversation, or both),
/fork
,
/resume
,
/copy
,
/export
,
/memory
,
/plan
,
/btw
(a side question answered without joining the conversation), and
/model
.

!
runs a shell command in the project folder; its output joins the conversation without costing a reply.

Paste an image — a screenshot, a file from Finder, or from a clipboard manager — and it rides along with your message. The sent message shows the picture itself, and it's still there when you reopen the conversation later.

A tab can switch between Claude's terminal interface and this one in place, so nothing is one-way.

Fixed: Closing a tab now actually ends what was running in it. A closed terminal or Claude tab used to leave its shell — and, for Claude, the helper processes it had started — running in the background, sometimes for days. Quitting Multee left them behind too. Now they're stopped properly, along with anything they started.

Fixed: esc esc clears the message box in a chat tab, as it does in the terminal. On an empty box it still offers to rewind.

Multee 0.1.21

Fixed: Updates no longer give up on a slow connection. The updater aborted after 3 minutes and reported "couldn't reach GitHub" even while the download was still running — Homebrew shows no progress during it, so the terminal looked frozen. It now downloads first with a much longer budget, shows Homebrew's progress instead of a blank screen, skips a redundant planning pass on Homebrew 6, and — when it genuinely does run out of time — says "Update timed out — slow connection".

Multee 0.1.20

New: Hide the files panel for a sessions-only sidebar — ⌘B (View ▸ Toggle Files Panel, or Settings ▸ "Show the files panel in the sidebar"). Built for juggling several projects without browsing files here: the sidebar becomes just your session list, and Multee stops watching that project's repo altogether — no file watcher, no git polling — while the branch still shows in the status bar. ⌘⇧F opens search in a tab instead of the sidebar, ⌘P still opens any file, and the sidebar remembers a separate width for each mode.

Fixed: Settings keeps up with the shortcuts. the files-panel checkbox and the font size now follow ⌘B and ⌘+/⌘− while the Settings window is open.

Multee 0.1.19

New: Toggle the Docker panel with ⌘D (View ▸ Toggle Docker Panel) — grayed out when Docker isn't running.

Improved: Markdown preview handles GitHub-style READMEs. Multee now looks for new versions on its own: shortly after launch, every few hours while it stays open, and when you switch back to the app. You still get the same update banner when one's available — but Later now snoozes it for a day instead of hiding it until you restart, and a newer release brings it back right away.

New: Reorder your projects. drag a project up or down in the SESSIONS list to arrange them however you like; the order is remembered.

Improved: Smoother, more native motion throughout. the bottom panel slides open and closed, overlays (Quick Ask, the command palette, the centered quick terminal, the session-ended card) fade and scale in, the active-tab indicator glides between tabs, the sidebar's Files/Changes/Search cross-fade, the SESSIONS panel collapses with a glide, and Docker status dots and peek panels cross-fade. It's all GPU-driven and respects your system's Reduce Motion setting.

Fixed: "Check for Updates" tells the truth when it can't reach GitHub. a failed check (offline, timed out, or rate-limited) used to claim you were up to date; it now says it couldn't check.

Multee 0.1.17

New: Docker. manage a project's Docker Compose stack right inside Multee. A new box icon in the bottom bar (it appears only when Docker is running) opens a panel under your editor listing the project's services with their status, published ports, and replica counts. Start, stop, restart, build, pull, or rebuild & start a single service or the whole stack; open a service's logs or a shell inside its container as a tab; and click a published port to open it in your browser. A Volumes tab shows each volume, what's using it, and its size on demand, and lets you delete unused ones. Projects with multiple compose files (e.g. dev vs prod) are supported — pick which file(s) to use and Multee remembers it per project. Everything updates live and event-driven, so a closed or idle panel costs nothing.

Multee 0.1.16

New: Quick Ask (⌘/). ask the active Claude chat a quick side question without dirtying its history. It pops a small panel with a live, forked copy of the conversation, so the answer is context-aware and as fast as the ongoing chat. Throw it away when you're done, or Open as Tab to keep going. A Context / Blank toggle picks whether to include the chat's context or ask a fresh, context-free question; forking a large chat keeps the full context automatically.

New: Fork a Claude session. a ⑂ icon on each Claude tab forks the conversation into a new, independent session that starts from a copy of the same history, leaving the original untouched.

Improved: Claude tabs are named after their conversation. instead of every tab just reading "Claude", each shows its conversation's name (taken from your first message, and upgraded to Claude's own title once it's available).

Multee 0.1.15

Fixed: Syntax highlighting no longer "runs away" after certain strings. a string whose text looks like a string prefix, such as
"rb"
in
open(path, "rb")
, used to turn every line after it green (most visible in larger Python files). Strings now close correctly, and string/docstring bodies are properly coloured everywhere (previously only the quotes were). The cause was engine-wide, so this improves highlighting across all languages, not just Python.

Multee 0.1.14

New: New File (⌘N). open a blank editor tab and just start writing. On the first ⌘S, Multee asks where to save it and the tab turns into a real file (with the right syntax highlighting). Blank tabs are named Untitled-1, Untitled-2… (reusing the lowest free number). Closing a blank tab with unsaved text prompts you to save first — and cancelling the save dialog keeps your text instead of losing it.

New: New Claude / New Terminal shortcuts. ⌘⇧C opens a new Claude session; ⌘⌥C opens one with a choice of arguments (Continue / Resume / Skip permissions); ⌃⇧` opens a new terminal — as a tab, or as another shell inside the quick terminal when it's already open. They're in the File menu and the shortcuts panel.

Improved: The quick terminal (⌃`) now holds multiple shells. a header strip lets you add (＋), switch, and close several terminals per session. ↗ Open as tab moves a running shell — with its scrollback and any running process — into a normal workspace tab, and a ⌃` to hide hint reminds you the same key dismisses it. Works in all three layouts (floating window / centered overlay / bottom panel).

Multee 0.1.13

Improved: Self-update is now one click, end to end. "Install now" runs the Homebrew upgrade without any Y/N prompt, works even when no project is open (it opens a terminal in your home folder), and relaunches Multee automatically when the update finishes — no manual restart.

Multee 0.1.12

New: New Project. create a folder and open it as a session (before, you could only open existing folders). ⌘⇧N — or File → New Project…, the empty-state button, or the SESSIONS header's folder icon — prompts for a name + location, with an optional "Initialize a Git repository" checkbox (off by default).

New: "Session ended" prompt. when a Claude session or terminal exits (you type
exit
, or Claude quits), the tab no longer leaves a dead, unresponsive terminal. Also on the View → Toggle Terminal menu.

New: Keyboard shortcuts panel. a keyboard icon at the right of the bottom status bar opens a panel listing every shortcut, grouped (General / Navigation / Editing / Find / View) with keycap chips.

Fixed:
--continue
/
--resume
default args no longer break new projects. if you keep e.g.
--continue
in your default Claude args, opening a folder Claude has never seen used to fail with "no conversation to continue." Multee now drops those flags when the folder has no Claude history, so a brand-new project just starts a fresh session (and still continues when there is history).

Fixed: Format Document (⇧⌥F) now formats the file instead of typing a character — the shortcut is handled directly so macOS no longer swallows it as text input.

Multee 0.1.11

New: Menu-bar attention indicator. a
»
icon in the macOS menu bar shows session status at a glance even when Multee is in the background: blue while working, orange + a count when sessions need you, neutral when idle. Click it for a panel listing your sessions (and their Claude tabs) with status — click one to jump straight there. Toggle it in Settings → Show session status in the menu bar. (The dev build's icon carries a tiny dot so you can tell it apart from a release Multee.)

New: "Waiting for you" status. when a Claude session finishes its turn (or asks you something) while you're not looking, its dot turns orange — in the sidebar, on the tab, and in the menu bar — instead of going gray like an untouched session, and clears once you open it. A short delay avoids a false "finished" when Claude only pauses before continuing.

New: Project search (⌘⇧F). VS Code-style search across the active session's repo. ⌘⇧F (or the command palette → Find in Files…) opens the Search section in the sidebar (a new third icon next to Files / Changes); type to search, with Match Case, Whole Word, and Regular Expression toggles and a live result count. Results group by file (matches highlighted); click one to open the file at that line. It uses
git grep
, so it respects
.gitignore
and needs nothing installed.

New: Search as a tab. the search panel has an Open-as-Tab button that promotes the current search to a full-width tab (carrying your query + toggles). You can open several search tabs at once.

New: Opening a search hit in a Markdown or SVG file now switches to its Source (where the match is), instead of the rendered preview.

Improved: Format Document moved to ⇧⌥F (it was ⌘⇧F), freeing ⌘⇧F for Find in Files — matching VS Code.

Multee 0.1.10

New: Status bar. a bar across the bottom of the editor/terminal area showing, at a glance: the current git branch, and for a file: the cursor position (Ln/Col), indentation (spaces/tabs), line ending (LF/CRLF), and language. Press ⌘P, type part of a filename, and fuzzy- matched files appear (matched letters highlighted, git-status colored); arrow keys to move, Enter to open. An empty query lists your open files. Two more modes from the same field: type
:123
to jump to a line in the current file, or
>
(also ⌘⇧P) for commands — New Claude Session, New Terminal, Format Document, Go to File…, Settings, Close Tab.

New: Find & Replace in the editor (⌘F). a find bar floats at the editor's top-right with Match Case, Whole Word, and Regular Expression toggles (which the previous build couldn't do), a live match count, and next/previous (⏎ / ⇧⏎). Expand it (or ⌥⌘F) for Replace / Replace All — regex replacements support
$1
capture groups. Your toggle choices are remembered across files and launches.

Fixed: Go to line now scrolls to and centers the target line instead of jumping to the bottom.

Fixed: Opening a file focuses its editor. you can type, search, or jump right away without clicking in first.

Multee 0.1.8

New: Code formatting. press ⌘⇧F (or right-click → Format Document) to format the current file with the matching formatter installed on your machine: Prettier (JS/TS/JSON/CSS/HTML/Markdown/YAML…), gofmt, rustfmt, Ruff, swift-format, clang-format.
